CONFERENCE THEME

The theme of the ICOEH 2014 is Mainstreaming of Occupational & Environmental Health. Most of the occupational and environmental diseases are being missed out in the differential diagnosis in the present health care system due to marginalization of the Occupational and Environmental health issues. However the burden of these preventable Occupational and Environmental diseases is much more than being perceived by all the stakeholders, and all the burden of the treatment of these otherwise non-treatable Occupational and Environmental Diseases has to be borne by the already crippled health care system of a country. Much of the national resources are being wasted as compare to cost - effective preventive solutions at various levels.

To deliberate on Mainstreaming of Occupational and Environmental health issues, we propose the following sub-themes to be covered in two and half days of the brainstorming sessions:

» Mainstreaming at Planning and Policy Level
» Mainstreaming at Implementation Level
» Mainstreaming at Research & Education Level
» Mainstreaming in MSME Sector
» Mainstreaming in MNCs
» Mainstreaming in Informal Sector
» Mainstreaming of Rehabilitation of OEH affected people
